one summer poem

One Summer Poem

in my imagination as if carried by colourful butterflies
moving from bush to bush, reminds me
of slippery moments of which I reprimand my soul
for not consuming as much of your scent.

My reminiscences of you, despite carved in the soil of my heart
like hieroglyphs in the Karnak, hop freely in the bagginess of my life.
The aspect of your aromatic silhouette echoes thoughts
of me being chained in the torments of your absence.

Entangled there in the beliefs in you, even when freed,
I am, like Hector, fastened and dragged by your swift chariot.
I, not dead, hectoring myself about my destiny, am in complete oblivion.
